The practice of having Masses said for someone’s soul or for a special intention date back to the early Church. We all pray for one another, we also ask saints in heaven to pray for us. The graces from the Sacrifice of the Mass are incalculable!  Mass Intentions for daily and Sunday Masses are arranged through the parish office. Please call or come by the office between 9:00 am - 1:00 pm to request Mass intentions with the office staff.

It is a kindness to give an offering to the priest, not for the Mass itself, but to supply the things necessary for the Mass and his own support. The customary stipend for each Mass intention is $5.oo. There is only one intention per Mass. You may visit our office to complete and submit a Mass Intention request card and enclose your check for your request.  The office staff will schedule the Mass offering intention.

In addition, the Women's Guild has special prayer cards for Mass intentions benefiting the Student Clerical Fund to defray expenses for seminarians at St Mary Seminary in Houston. These Mass cards are available on the counter by the front door.
