    • Children’s Liturgy of the Word (CLW)

Our Children’s Liturgy of the Word program serves our youngest parishioners. Just as Jesus welcomed the children of His time, so He invites the little ones of our day to draw near to Him and learn about His truth and His love for them in a format suited to their age. CLW helps prepare children for a deep and lasting connection to God, His Word and the Church. During CLW, children who have not yet received First Holy Communion are invited to leave the sanctuary to a nearby space.

With dedicated volunteers, the children participate in their own Liturgy of the Word. Simplified Scripture readings are proclaimed and explained at an age-appropriate level. The children sing the Psalm, hear a reflection on the Gospel and participate in related activities. Then they renew their Baptismal promises, offer their Prayer of the Faithful, and return to Mass. Following this format helps them learn how God’s Word relates to their lives and experiences. Children’s Liturgy of the Word is offered on Sundays at 8:30 a.m. Mass. Scheduling aligns with that of the CCE Program.

    • Continuing Christian Education (CCE)

Our dedicated catechists strive to share with students the one, true Faith in age-appropriate ways. The program serves children and teens in grades K-12 and includes: weekly classes, special projects, youth group activities, sacramental preparation, retreats, service projects, prayer experiences and a yearly summer Vacation Bible School. CCE also aims to support and assist parents, encouraging them to embrace their role as primary educators and to partner with the parish in their children’s faith formation. The CCE program helps children grow: in love of God and His Church; in their personal relationship with Jesus Christ; in knowledge of Scripture and Sacred Tradition; and in fellowship with their classmates. The program counts on our generous catechist volunteers. They, in turn, grow in their knowledge and love of the Faith and in fellowship with our parish families and the rest of the CCE team.
