Ushers and greeters are the welcoming face and hands of Christ. Ours is a ministry of hospitality, welcome and support for the faith community which gathers at the parish campus for worship and fellowship.

Ushers and greeters have many responsibilities before, during and after liturgical celebrations. We carefully train and support our new members in learning and practicing what they are expected to do. In addition to serving during Sunday Masses and holy days of obligation, they may be called upon to assist at baptisms, weddings, funerals and other faith community celebrations.

Ushers serve our pastor, ministers and parishioners by welcoming parishioners and guests, encouraging peace and tranquility in the worship area, securing our faith community’s financial gifts, monitoring children in busy campus areas, inspecting the parking lot, safeguarding the Eucharist during Mass, and putting the campus “at rest”.

The open and loving embrace of our family environment is strengthened when people are involved, when they look around and help as the need arises. All men, women and high school youth of our parish are invited to join our usher corp. The more who share in this work, the more enjoyable the ministry becomes.
